The storm is currently located east-northeast of the Lesser Antilles islands and is nearing hurricane strength. Meanwhile, tropical storm Kristy has formed in the Pacific Ocean and is currently located southeast of Cabos Corrientos, Mexico. Swells are expected to create life-threatening surf and rip tides off the coast. If the storm diverts to the north, it could threaten the southern tip of Baja California, Mexico.
